Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of this website and every order placed with Sotira Gallery, a sole proprietorship trading online from VQ29+3GQ, Gokhale Marg, Ward 27, Sector 9, Mansarovar, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302020, India. Browsing or ordering means you accept them. They are read with our Shipping Policy, Refund and Returns Policy, Cancellation Policy, Payment Policy and Privacy Policy, and they are governed by Indian law — the Information Technology Act, 2000 (IT Act 2000), the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act 2023).

1. What we sell

We retail Flatware & Cutlery online — stainless steel flatware and cutlery sets in mirror, matte, hammered, black and gold finishes, sold by piece count. We do not engrave, personalise, repair or re-plate cutlery. Orders are placed here and dispatched from Jaipur.

2. Using the site

Use it lawfully, give an accurate delivery address and phone number, and do not scrape or republish our listings and photography. If you open an account, activity under it is your responsibility.

3. Prices, currency and tax

Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) including any tax that applies. We trade below the GST registration threshold for individual sellers, so no GST is charged separately and no GST invoice is issued; a plain sale invoice travels in the parcel. Shipping is quoted before payment — free from ₹1,999, otherwise a flat ₹69, with no weight surcharge added afterwards. Prices, specifications and stock can change without notice.

4. Piece counts and set composition

Where a set is sold by count, that count and its composition — how many dinner forks, teaspoons and knives — are stated on the listing and checked against the order before dispatch. A shortfall on arrival is a fault and we replace it.

5. Steel grade and finish

Each listing states the grade supplied for that set, typically 18/10 or 18/0. An 18/0 piece is magnetic by composition and that is normal. Black and gold pieces are surface-coated and food-safe as supplied; coatings wear at contact edges over years of use, and faster in a dishwasher. Mirror finishes show fingerprints and fine handling marks. These are characteristics of the material, not defects.

6. Orders and our right to decline

An order is an offer to buy; the contract forms on dispatch. We may decline or cancel — refunding in full anything paid — where stock has run out, a price, grade or piece count was published in error, the address cannot be served, or the order shows fraud markers.

7. Payment

UPI and Cash on Delivery only. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, net banking, PayPal or any other wallet, and we never ask for or store card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs or banking passwords.

8. Delivery, cancellation and returns

Handling of 1 business day, delivery in 3–8 business days, free cancellation before dispatch and a 10 days return window are on the relevant pages, which form part of these terms. A washed or used set cannot be returned.

9. Care

Hand-wash and dry coated, hammered and mirror pieces to keep the finish; rinse off salt, lemon and acidic residue rather than leaving it on the steel. Dishwasher use is at your discretion and will shorten the life of a coating.

10. Intellectual property

Text, descriptions, photography, layout, logo and the name Sotira Gallery belong to us or our licensors, protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Do not copy or republish them commercially without written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except as stated in these terms, the site and the products are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or of any product, whether based on warranty, contract, tort or any other legal theory. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing removes your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delay caused by courier-network failure, flood, transport strike or government restriction. Where such an event prevents delivery entirely, we refund in full.

13. Changes

These terms may be revised; the version published on the day of your order governs that order.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

Indian law applies, and disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
