A cutlery set is dense, heavy for its size, and easy to scratch against itself. Sotira Gallery packs and dispatches every order from Jaipur, and this page gives the handling, transit and cost figures without rounding them in our favour.
Cut-off and handling
Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day enter packing the same day. Handling is 1 business day, Monday to Saturday. In that window every piece is counted against the set — a 49-piece set leaves here with 49 pieces — and checked for a burr on a tine or a mark on the mirror finish.
How a set is packed
Pieces stay in their moulded tray or sleeve so they cannot rub in transit; a mirror-polished spoon that has slid against a fork for four days arrives hairlined, and no amount of outer bubble prevents that. Trays are then boxed with fill, and heavier sets are taped along the base seam because weight is what splits a carton, not impact.
Delivery times
- Metro and large-city PIN codes: 2–4 business days after dispatch.
- Rest of India: 4–7 business days after dispatch.
- Transit overall: 2–7 business days depending on distance.
- Order to doorstep: 3–8 business days including handling.
Parcels move through Delhivery / DTDC. Hill and island PIN codes can add a day or two on the final leg.
What shipping costs
Free on orders of ₹1,999 and above. Below that a flat ₹69 on the whole order — not per set, never per kilo, and never topped up after checkout. Cutlery is heavy, and a weight surcharge applied afterwards is the usual trick in this category. The figure on the cart page is final.
Cash on Delivery and UPI
Pay by UPI in advance or take Cash on Delivery. COD covers most serviceable PIN codes; a few remote routes and unusually high-value orders are prepaid-only, and checkout tells you which applies before you confirm.
Tracking
Tracking goes out by email and SMS as soon as the courier scans the parcel. A quiet day usually means a hub transfer. If nothing moves for more than 48 hours, email sales@sotiragallery.shop with your order number and we will chase the courier ourselves.
Count it on the day it lands
Record a short unboxing video and count the pieces against the invoice before the set goes into a drawer. A short count or a scratched finish is settled on that clip within 48 hours of delivery, at our cost, under the Refund and Returns Policy. Once pieces are mixed into a kitchen drawer neither of us can prove what arrived.

India only. Sotira Gallery is an online-only shop working out of Jaipur, Rajasthan, with no showroom and no counter collection.
